Most organizations accomplish their important task through many types of groups and teams. Few however function at peak levels. Because effective teamwork can be challenging to achieve, CMOE’s Exploring Teamwork workshop assists teams address core issues such as

Exploring Teamwork is a powerful, experience-based workshop that gives participants the skills to build and sustain a high-performance team, as well as those that develop teamwork skills at the individual level. The experiential nature of the training, combined with adult learning methods, ensures an exciting and memorable event. Participants leave the event with an integrated set of skills, knowledge, and plans to renew team spirit, enhance performance, and improve team leadership. When these skills are applied, teams are stronger, more productive, and more aligned in purpose than ever before.

The Exploring Teamwork learning event is tailored for intact teams, cross-functional teams, team leaders, or a mixed group of individuals. Each learning event is customized to the organization's specific team challenges and needs.

In the learning programs, participants will

Experience what it is like to be a member of a high-performing team.
Build awareness about the critical ingredients needed to build a highly effective team.
Diagnose the strengths and weakness of their own team.
Explore strategies that will enhance the effectiveness of their team.
Assess their roles as a team member or leader and their overall contribution to the team's effectiveness.
Expand their interest in and commitment to teamwork practices and principles.

Exploring Teamwork is based on extensive and ongoing research and our book, The Team Approach; With Teamwork Anything Is Possible, by Steven J. Stowell, Ph.D. and Stephanie S. Mead. The comprehensive team assessment taken prior to the event supports the learning and pinpoints specific data about the inner workings and overall health of the participants’ teams.

The Exploring Teamwork workshop can be delivered onsite, at an off-site location, or an outdoor location. We also offer trainer certification. CMOE facilitators and consultants have extensive experience in a variety of industries and use an Action Learning Process to help participants gain new skills and identify blind spots for development.

TEAM BUILDING RETREATS
CMOE also provides Team Building Retreats and off-site High-Adventure Teamwork Development experiences. Our staff can plan and/or facilitate events that promote development and interaction among Executive Teams, Operating Teams, Cross-Functional Teams, and Intact Teams. These sessions are designed to get teams out of their comfort zones and enhance unity by focusing on strategies, goals, trust, communication, and conflict.

Team Building Retreats and High-Adventure experiences will reinforce functioning teams as well as teams that are experiencing some degree of tension or stress. These Teamwork Programs are for teams of any size and are carefully planned and coordinated around each team’s needs and requirements. It can be a one-time experience or part of an ongoing process to maintain optimum performance.

SAFETY TEAMWORK
Teamwork and safety are inseparable principles. Safe performance depends on trust, cooperation, communication, and personal responsibility. CMOE offers a Safety Teamwork workshop that is based on the Exploring Teamwork Workshop and uses active, experiential exercises to emphasize the role of safety and teamwork.
