Team Assessments

Step 1 – Collect Data
Team assessments are completed by team members to obtain feedback, insight, and understanding of how the team interacts and operates on a day to day basis.  The often hidden internal workings of a team are brought forth in this step of the processes.   Data is collected in the following team member elements:

  3. Structure

Step 2 – Data Analysis
Data analysis provides a simple and easy way to understand a report that displays behaviors, trends, and performance gaps.  The analysis is about understanding “what is occurring” versus “what should be occurring.”  This process helps teams determine which changes are appropriate for their team environment.

Step 3 – Action Planning
Assessments should drive action following the analysis phase.  This step provides teams with the opportunity to build on existing strengths as well as addressing areas for improvement.  This step is about preparing for the future and not focusing on the past. Action planning is about collaborating with the team to evaluate and identify priorities for implementation and execution.
