Meet Our Team
Dr. Steven J. Stowell is the Co-Founder of the Center for Management and Organization Effectiveness, Inc. The Center was created in 1978 for the purpose of helping individuals and teams maximize their effectiveness and competitiveness. Steve’s special interests lie in helping develop leaders, building teamwork, resolving conflicts, creating effective relationships, and transforming traditional organizations into high performance systems. Steve began his career working as a staff specialist and later a manager in the field of organization and management development in the energy industry and in government, Atlantic Richfield Corp., Phillips Petroleum Co., and Northwest Energy. During the past 25 years, Steve has consulted with both small and large corporations, government agencies, school systems, and non-profit organizations in 20 different countries in all parts of the world. Steve enjoys the challenge of developing and designing creative and specialized learning experiences, such as: socio dramas, adventure learning, simulations, keynote presentations, distance learning, custom videos, etc. Steve is an advocate of applied research and data collection as the centerpiece of his consulting, training, and executive coaching work. Steve is a highly effective presenter and facilitator and enjoys creating customized solutions, assisting senior teams, defining strategic direction, and improving teams that are faced with serious challenges and issues.
