Meet Our Team
Steve Nielsen has been involved in training leaders for over 25 years and has been a consultant for CMOE since 2003. Steve’s special interests lie in leadership development, team building, experiential learning, outdoor learning course design and facilitation, and executive coaching. Steve’s experience in operations, training and development, and human resources is largely attributed to his extensive career at FedEx. He began his career in 1976 as a FedEx hourly employee and moved into management in 1981 where he led teams at FedEx facilities in the sort, pick-up, and delivery of shipments for nine years. He was then nominated to join the FedEx Leadership Institute and was highly involved in developing and delivering leadership education for all FedEx management worldwide. After facilitating all of the courses offered by the FedEx Leadership Institute, he was selected to be the Leadership Institute’s Managing Director. In this role, he was responsible for directing the training of all FedEx management in the areas of leadership principles and practices as well as in corporate culture and philosophy.
